Anger Management
At Willow Clinical Services, our therapists provide evidence-based
anger management services designed to help clients understand, regulate,
and transform their emotional responses. Anger itself is not a problem—it’s
a natural emotion—but when it becomes overwhelming or expressed destructively,
it can damage relationships, careers, and self-esteem. Our clinicians help clients
build awareness of underlying triggers, learn practical regulation skills, and
develop new ways to express emotion safely and effectively.
Several of our therapists have specialized training in domestic violence and
relationship conflict, allowing them to work sensitively and responsibly with
clients who have experienced or displayed harmful patterns of anger. This
includes education about power and control dynamics, accountability, and
communication strategies that support safety and respect in all relationships.
Anger management may be offered as a stand-alone treatment or integrated
as part of individual, couples, or group therapy. Using approaches drawn from
CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care, our clinicians guide clients toward emotional
balance, healthier coping, and more constructive patterns of relating at home and
in the community.
The Healthy Partner Project
Willow Clinical Services is excited to announce the launch of our new
group, The Healthy Partner Project—a psychoeducational program designed for
men who struggle with anger and have disclosed violence within their intimate
relationships.
This 27-week, in-person group provides a structured, supportive environment
to explore healthier ways of relating, while addressing the impact of anger
and abusive behaviors. The Healthy Partner Project follows the Duluth Model,
which emphasizes a community-based approach to domestic violence intervention.
